The Baillie Players

Established by Buren Martin in 1980, The Baillie Players has been bringing professional children’s theatre productions to rural areas in the southeast for many years. In 2023, the company will be taken over by Buren’s son, Milner Martin, and he will continue to bring the magic of theatre to schools and communities in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, and Florida . We are a family-run business, and we have produced thousands of productions at hundreds of schools over the past 40 years. Let us make your job easier by providing you with all the tools you need to produce a show! From the set, costumes, script, music, direction, theatrical techniques, and a quick and easy load in & load out all on performance day, we take out the stress of producing a show, so that your students and staff can have FUN!

About us:

The Baillie Players is a professional touring children’s theatre production company. We provide the directors, set, props, sound system, digital script, drama instruction, and everything else needed to create a professional quality show for your school or community theatre!

How do we work:

The Baillie Players offers a 4-day and 5-day artist-in-residency service. Day 1: Auditions & Casting in the morning, rehearsal after lunch. Days 2 & 3: Blocking rehearsals. Day 4: Performance day for 4-day residency, dress rehearsal for 5-day residency. Day 5: Performance day for 5-day residency.

How much does our residency cost?
5-day school residencies: $5,000
4-day school residencies: $4,000

2-day School residencies: $2,300
